Who is Karen Wilson?

I grew up with a single track: go to school, get a “good” job, build a solid life. Secretly, I wanted to be a writer.

Turns out my full-time job at fifteen was a lot kinder than high school ever was.

So I quit. School, expectations, all of it. I started dreaming about being a writer instead...

Later, as a single mom, I went back to school. When it was time to land a writing job for an assignment, I quit again.

In my late 20s, the real turning point arrived. I started walking and lost 65 pounds in a year. My old identity melted away and I was left with a new one…sometimes it fit, sometimes it didn’t.

I found my groove in fitness, but the writing part was its own tug-of-war. Crafting posts, documenting experiences. I fell in love with writing again, except for the part where I had to sit down and actually do it.

Ironically, an online branding course led me straight into the wildest self-discovery. A tiny section, a handful of questions I’d never asked myself.

I went all the way, half marathons, full marathons, learning as I went. Instead of joining a fitness class, I taught them. I started a YouTube channel. Launched a bunch of online courses (oh, and no one took them because I forgot to mention they existed...).

And then I met Bo Eason..

I personally guarantee you will move from “I don’t know what to say” to clarity, ownership, and authentically you! And probably the most important thing in today's climate - APROACHABILITY AND CONNECTION.

Because when your story lands, so does your identity, your brand, your momentum and your magnetism.

I attended my very first Personal Story Power Event in November of 2019.

"I want to do THAT!!" It wasn't just the way Bo Eason spoke on stage, but also the way he coached me. I had never been seen that way before by a coach. I wanted to provide THAT undeniable authentic truth that pulls on your superpower and gives you somewhere to put it...that's ALREADY YOURS- your personal story.

I dove deep into speaker mentorship, chasing this other dream to really become a motivational speaker and maybe, just maybe, learn how to talk about all those courses I built.

I found so many stories while searching for "the one" that I cut a deal with myself to finally write THE BOOK. Not the one everyone expects, but the book I've started and quit more times than I dare admit.

In 90 days, I wrote and self-published “Be Weightless, Like Your Body, Love Yourself.”

Now what? I actually needed to talk about it.

Instead of a keynote, “My Body is My Home” came alive as a one-woman memoir show...props, stories, the whole deal...and I took the show on the road and found out that being a roadie wasn't exactly what I wanted, 🫣

Was that the plan? Absolutely not. Is it the plan you need to take?- heck no, unless that's YOUR dream.

There are not enough words to express the power of story and I'd do it over and over again. What we do together with your story can be scaled anyway you want and it's the most valuable asset you have.
